The lots are auctioned in the order they are printed in the catalogue. At first, lot-specific details are read out (offered for auction sale). Then the relevant printed minimum bids are called and higher bids are requested (by raising the hand) at increases specified by the Auction House in advance. The highest bidder buys the lot upon the third hammer blow.
With the knockdown by the Auctioneer in connection with the notarisation, the purchase deed is concluded. At the auction, the purchase deed is signed by the Purchaser, the Auctioneer or his authorised signatory, and the Notary. A
draft (PDF, 53 kB) of the purchase deed to be concluded after knockdown can be downloaded here.
The Auction Sale Conditions, which are notarised in the Register of Deeds under deed no. 313/2009 of the Notary Martin Heidemann, Berlin, from 9th April 2009, apply for all auction sales. The
Auction Sale Conditions are published on page 103 to 106 of the catalogue.
Inclusive of value-added tax, the commission of the Auction House to be paid by the Purchaser amounts to:

Payment at the auction is in cash or by crossed cheque of a domestic credit institute. The cheque cashing must be guaranteed immediately. The purchase price balance must be paid within four weeks following knockdown. Changes require the prior written approval of the Auctioneers in charge.
The auctions are public, access is guaranteed; however, domestic authority is exclusively with the Auctioneers who may also decide on the attendance of Bidders at Auctions as the case arises.
